Woodys Pet Food Recall 2019

What Caused the Recall?

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) had observed a human case of Salmonella linked to this pet food. The routine sampling followed soon after.

The person affected by Salmonella is part of an ongoing investigation into a multistate Salmonella infection coordinated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

An interview with the individual established that they were feeding Woodys Pet Food Deli Raw Ground Turkey to the pet in their household.

The pet also tested positive for Salmonella but was not linked to the multistate investigation into Salmonella infections.

A further two cases of Salmonella had matched with the MDA and MDH investigation.
